Good Morning!

I thank you for your abundant response to my announcement regarding my upcoming Women’s Coaching Circle (click here to learn more about our group).

I have been spending a lot of time lately thinking about my life’s purpose and why I am here. I have known for a long time that I want to make a profound difference in the lives of women. I want to gently hold the space for us to show up in the world and to be seen, heard and acknowledged. The fifth Principle of Attraction is to: Be the Source.  I want to be a  source for women to feel valued, as that is what I need most of all in my own life.

Like you, I often struggle with having the courage to stand fully in my purpose of what I came here to do.  I have vacillated back and forth between stepping into the light when I felt strong, and retreating back into my dark cave when I felt scared. In truth, when I look around at some of the chaotic and frightening things that are happening in our world, I realize that I cannot afford to stay in my dark and safe cave any longer. I know that Spirit has blessed me with gifts that I am supposed to be using to the best of my capabilities. I know that when I am using those gifts I feel wonderful and when I am not, I feel disconnected, depressed and hopeless.

In this moment, I humbly open my heart and make a commitment to be more courageous and willing to step into the unknown. I promise to honor my gifts and to share them freely with the understanding that as I do,
I do not need a clear plan and that Spirit will reveal to me the next step. I promise to forgive myself for my neurotic-perfectionist tendencies and to step into the flow. I promise to practice gentleness and kindness as I make mistakes and to be as respectful towards myself as I am to others. I promise to love and honor myself and the child of God that I am and to find joy whenever and wherever possible. I promise to remember that as I practice kindness towards myself, that in turn I offer kindness to the world. And as I love myself unconditionally, in turn that love radiates and permeates through me and into the Universe.

Your presence in the world is not a mistake. You indeed have a Divine Purpose for being here. Your presence alone is a gift to the world. Allow me to hold the mirror for you to see your beauty as I do. Allow me to be a reminder to you to love yourself as much as I love you. Together we can courageously do what we came here to do. Take my hand, open your heart, and let’s see what’s out there.  Perhaps it’s not as scary as we think.

Have a blessed and courageous week.

Quote of the Week

Quote of the Week:  "Beauty lies in simplicity."
 - Carole L. Billingham

Question:  What could you do to simplify your life this week . . . even just a little bit? What do you think might happen in doing so?

Affirmation:  "As I let go of things, tasks, and people that no longer serve me, I find a sense of beauty, purpose, and peace."

Carole's Latest Book Recommendation

The Camino: A Journey of the Spirit (Paperback)
by Shirley MacLaine

Known as the Camino, the Santiago de Compostela Camino is a famous pilgrimage that has been undertaken by people for centuries across northern Spain. It is said that this 500-mile path lies directly under the Milky Way and that it reflects the energy of the star systems above it. Facing her sixth decade of life on earth, writer and actor Shirley MacLaine decided to go on this trek. She wasn't sure why, she only knew that the Camino had been traveled for thousands of years by "saints, sinners, generals, misfits, kings and queens. It is done by the intent to find one's deepest spiritual meaning and resolutions regarding conflicts in Self."

Typical of MacLaine, this is a personal story with enormous adventure, a smattering of flashbacks, and a hefty service of cosmic revelations. Like a true pilgrim, MacLaine travels solo, willing to strip herself down to the backpacking essentials and find deeper meaning in all the bizarre, frightening, and coincidental events she encounters along the way. It is no small feat that this sixty-something woman walked the grueling path in 30 days. Readers can expect vivid stories of stalking paparazzi, icy showers, bouts of hunger, lost paths, a worshipping young man, a deranged woman screaming in a roadside shelter, saintly truck drivers, a fellow pilgrim in a wheelchair, bouts of constipation and diarrhea, and a cosmic crescendo that will knock the socks off of MacLaine fans.
