Good Morning!

I’m not a big fan of New Year’s resolutions. I’d much rather take a more proactive approach by living consciously every day rather than evaluating things once a year. That being said, as we enter the blank canvas of a new year, it’s a great time to reflect and celebrate our accomplishments, gather some intentions for the year to come and step fully into making the changes necessary to create more of what we want in our lives.

Like any good coach, I could come up with millions of terrific questions for you to think about and to help you in creating a great year.  But in the interest of not overwhelming you, but rather offering something to springboard you into pondering the possibilities, I have condensed my thoughts into 6 powerful questions for you to think about.

It is my deepest wish that you take this very moment to start living a life that’s true to you and devoted to fulfilling your heart’s deepest desires.

Wishing you a year of power, passion and purpose,

P.S. In February, I will have two openings available for new clients. I invite you to consider what might happen in your business and in your life if you were to contact me and work with me as your coach.

Quote of the Week

Quote of the Week:  "The New Year is like an empty canvas on which you can create anything and everything your heart desires."
- Carole L. Billingham, MCC

Question:  As you reflect on 2006, what are you most grateful for? As you listen to your heart, what are your deepest desires for 2007?

Affirmation:  "My heart is filled with joy and anticipation as I greet the New Year . . . a year that will surpass my wildest dreams!"

Carole's Latest Book Recommendation

Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity (Paperback)
by David Allen

Getting Things Done offers a complete system for downloading all those free-floating gotta-do's that clog your brain. Allen has been dubbed "the personal productivity guru" by Fast Company, suggests that instead of doing nothing while you wait for a plane, you should unsheathe that high-tech saber known as the cell phone and attack that list of calls you need to return.

Allen's whole-life-organizing systems are fun and therapeutic. It starts with taking every unaccounted-for scrap of paper in your workstation that you can't junk, The next step is to write down every unaccounted-for gotta-do cramming your head onto its own scrap of paper. Finally, throw the whole stew into a giant "in-basket."

Allen's ingenious Two-Minute Rule: if there's anything you absolutely must do that you can do right now in two minutes or less, then do it now, thus freeing up your time and mind tenfold over the long term. It's commonsense advice so obvious that most of us completely overlook it, much to our detriment; Allen excels at dispensing such wisdom in this useful self-improver aimed at everyone from CEOs to soccer moms.
