When I came across the quote
for this weeks Monday Morning Coach it reminded me that when setting our
intentions for a new year the most gratifying of goals are the ones aligned
with selflessly helping others.
We can manifest all of the
riches of outward success, but if our focus is purely on ourselves we will
feel impoverished. The good news is that there are a million simple and easy
ways to get plugged into helping others. A simple shift in focus can bring a
wealth of good feelings and blessings.
Quote of the Week:"Life's
most urgent question is: What are you doing for others?"
-- Martin Luther King
Question:This week as we honor
Martin Luther King and celebrate the intentions we have set for the coming
year, how can you be bolder in your commitment to helping others? What will
it look like? How will it feel?
I do things for others, I find my heart filled with gratitude and I feel
connected in a way that is beyond words. I am indeed blessed."

What better way to start the New Year off, than a book about transformation and creating change?
I highly recommend Jane Fonda's new memoir called, My Life So Far.
As one of the most recognizable women of our time, Jane divides her life into three acts: her childhood, early films, and first marriage make up act one; her growing career in film, marriage to Ted Turner, and involvement in the Vietnam War belong to act two; and the third act belongs to the future, in which she hopes to "begin living consciously," and inspire others who can learn from her experiences. Fonda reveals intimate details and universal truths that she hopes "can provide a lens through which others can see their lives and how they can live them a little differently."
